My favourite streetwear brands
If you’re into streetwear, you know it’s more than just clothes – it’s a way to show off your personality without saying a word. Over the years, my taste in brands has changed a bit, but I’ve found a handful that I keep coming back to. I thought I’d share a few of my favourites, and the bits that make them stand out for me.
Represent
Represent is probably the most ‘me’ brand out there at the moment. It’s got that proper edge, but with a bit of luxury thrown in. The distressed leather camera bag is hands-down one of my favourite pieces. The worn-in look gives it a bit of character, like it’s got a story to tell, and the leather actually feels premium – not like some of the flimsy stuff you see elsewhere. It goes with just about everything as well. I’m also a big fan of the Owners Club t-shirt. It’s simple, but the fit is spot on and the logo is low-key, which I like. No need to shout about it, you just know it’s quality.
Uniqlo
Uniqlo might not be the first name people think of when it comes to streetwear, but honestly, their basics are unbeatable. I must have about eight of their tees in rotation at any one time. They’re comfortable, the fit is tidy, and they last. Plus, they’re affordable, which means you can stock up without feeling too guilty. I like using Uniqlo pieces as a kind of blank canvas – they layer perfectly under a louder jacket or hoodie, or just look good on their own. Sometimes, simple really is best.
Palace
Palace is just fun, isn’t it? There’s always something a bit cheeky about their drops, but the quality is there too. My absolute favourite piece from them is the International Rugby green polo. The colour is proper bold, and it’s got that classic rugby shirt vibe but with a twist. It’s one of those things I always get asked about when I wear it out. I’ve also got my eye on a couple of their jackets – they’re usually packed with clever details and always stand out in a crowd. Palace just doesn’t take itself too seriously, and I love that.
Stüssy
Last but definitely not least, Stüssy. Their tees are iconic for a reason – the designs are clean, the fit’s always good, and you can spot that logo from a mile off. I love how pared-back a lot of their stuff is. Sometimes I just want to throw something on without thinking too hard, and Stüssy always delivers. It’s got that skater, laid-back vibe, but still feels a bit special.
So that’s my line-up. Each of these brands does something a bit different – whether it’s Represent’s gritty luxury, Uniqlo’s everyday essentials, Palace’s playful energy, or Stüssy’s timeless cool. At the end of the day, I like having a mix – it keeps things interesting, and means I can wear what I want, whenever I want.
