Grace Shorrock, 21, picked up the award for her portfolio, compiled during her time at the University of Central Lancashire.

Sarah Omoyeni Ajayi said: “Coming from a family that has a lot of market women, I really wanted to honour them. Many people don’t see them as the fashion icons they are."

Textile and fashion students from Blackburn College took part in the club’s Green Football’s Great Save campaign, which aims to protect football and the environment by upcycling old kits.

The bursary helped Harry Russell to secure internships in London with clothing brands Tondolo and Treddenick during his placement year.

Clark was selected by Burberry staff, who have mentored final-year BA (Hons) Fashion Design students at the Leeds School of Arts for the third year running.

The new shop features products from students, staff and local brands, aiming to become a hub for creativity and sustainable fashion in the South West.

Dorey shared insights into their creative process and experience on the BA (Hons) design for costume and performance course at AUB.

Noel Peel said: “I’m really excited to be part of the Talent of Tomorrow campaign and see my work brought to life in a professional photoshoot.”

Around 140 students from Scotland, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia and the United States took part.
